When examining surfaces under a microscope, the most critical defects are those that nobody can see: micro-scratches, deposits, surface contaminants and invisible microstructures. The problem lies not with the microscope, but with the lighting. With conventional bright-field illumination, the light shines from the front, which flattens the surface structure and renders surface defects invisible.
No adjustment can compensate for what the light has failed to reveal. The only real solution: change the angle of the light.
This is exactly what VisiDark does.
Thanks to exclusive LuxiBright® technology, VisiDark projects an extremely uniform, highly directional oblique light, revealing every invisible micro-defect with a precision that no other lighting system can match. Transparent, opaque, reflective or matt – VisiDark adapts to any surface and any material. Compatible with Zeiss, Nikon, Olympus and Leica.
Dedicated to the inspection of surfaces and contours, the VisiDark range of lights offers an exceptional speed of detection thanks to the great directionality of its light. The inspection of samples can be done with the naked eye, or under a microscope for a more detailed inspection. The working distance is adjustable from a dark field to a grazing light configuration.
VisiDark is the revolution in darkfield illumination: this configuration directionally offers powerful and precise light to the study sample. More than ever, grazing light provides high contrast images, accentuating sample edges and surface details. The ability to vary the intensity reveals all key visual information of the sample, regardless of the material, transparent or opaque, reflective or matte, and inspection for deposits or impurities is optimal. In addition, the absence of heat generated by the ringlight does not affect neither the observation nor the sample.
The uniformity and directionality of L.E.S.S. light are unique. These properties offer unprecedented inspection comfort by accentuating contrasts, reducing stray light reflections, and, consequently, reducing eye fatigue.
